The Mississippi Queen Motors and Waterwheels CAD

The waterwheels were 14” diameter acrylic wheels with 10 paddles radially dispersed.  The paddles were intentionally shorter than the radius of the waterwheel to allow water to escape out the back (or front) of the TOWRP and prevent over flooding of the base area.  The waterwheels were supported by a shaft and rigidly attached to spider couplings using a number of acrylic mounts.  This prevented slippage resulting from a set-screw attaching the wheels to the shaft.
