Description and Calculations
In the 5V power regulators, the uA7L05C, we must make sure that we don not generate heat faster than we can dissipate it. The junction to ambient thermal resistance is 140C/W, and there is a max junction temp of 125C. Ambient is 25C, so we can allow for (125C-25C)/(140 C/W) = 0.71W. At 14.4V, 75mA is the limit per power board.
